ALP-X

The ALP-X is built for extrusion. It gives you more control over the polymer as it leaves the extruder, and it comes standard or customized, so it can handle demanding processes.

ALP-X melt pump, used materials
Used materials

Built from the right materials.

Material choice is critical, especially in harsh operating conditions. Wetted materials include, among others:

  • Stainless steels (316L, 440B, …)
  • Hastelloy
  • Silicon carbide
  • Zirconium oxide

Ceramic coating can be applied for additional wear and corrosion resistance.

Alpine gear pump, shaft sealing
Shaft sealing

Sealing for every duty.

Many different shaft-sealing types are available for the ALP-X gear pumps, each with its own advantages.

  • Viscoseal
  • Viscoseal with active cooling
  • Stuffing box
  • Viscoseal with stuffing box
  • Double viscoseal
  • Buffered viscoseal with stuffing box

Special designs — for rubber and other demanding media — are built on request, with shaft cooling and other adaptations to suit the process.
